University leaders will not oversee the Tech Fund alone. A dedicated Board will guide the Fund’s activities and bring together expertise from academia, business, finance and law. Its members contribute their time voluntarily, shape the Fund’s strategy, support its mission and oversee its work.
Each Board member brings a different perspective – academic, investment, financial, legal or alumni-related. Together, these perspectives help the Board make balanced decisions and carefully assess opportunities and risks. Fund supporters can trust the Board to manage their contributions responsibly and transparently.
Board Members
Board member Prof. Dr Romualdas Kliukas, Rector of VILNIUS TECH, knows the academic community well and has a strong understanding of the University’s strategic priorities.

Modestas Plakys, Investment and Wealth Manager and Founder of Gausus Group UAB. As the Tech Fund operates as an endowment fund whose assets are invested for the long term, his experience in investment capital management will be particularly valuable.

Dovilė Grigienė, Chair of the Supervisory Board of Revolut Bank UAB. Her strong expertise in the financial sector and governance will help ensure transparent and responsible management of the Fund’s assets.

Darius Snieška, President of VILNIUS TECH Alumni and Retail Director at Scania Lietuva UAB. By representing both the alumni community and business practice, he connects the Fund’s activities with a real network of graduates and employers.

According to Jūratė Jurginytė, Director coordinating the Fund’s activities, the Fund’s credibility depends not only on the idea itself, but also on the people who oversee how that idea is implemented: “The Board brings together six different perspectives that the Fund truly needs. This allows us to make decisions that can stand the test of time. Board members are not afraid to challenge ideas rather than simply approve them. This has strengthened the Fund from the very beginning and helped shape a clearer direction.”
The Board’s composition reflects a core Tech Fund principle: lasting impact comes from combining expertise around a shared goal. In the near future, the Board will approve the Fund’s strategic priorities. It will also oversee investment policy and decide how to attract new supporters and partners.
