Established by VILNIUS TECH, the Tech Fund presents three strategic priorities aimed at supporting the growth of Lithuania’s technology community. The Fund operates as an endowment and support platform, bringing together business, academia and the University community around a shared goal – building a future-ready Lithuania.
Tech Talent
The first priority is people. The labour market is changing faster than the education system, creating an unprecedented shortage of specialists who can develop and apply technology. The TECH Fund aims to help school pupils engage with engineering at an earlier age, strengthen teachers’ competencies and improve educational programmes. The goal is to nurture a new generation of professionals who embrace innovation and can adapt quickly to a changing world.
Tech Resilience
The second priority is Lithuania’s ability to withstand cyber, information and technological threats. Disinformation, cyberattacks and the rapid development of artificial intelligence pose challenges to businesses, the state and society as a whole. The Fund aims to strengthen cyber literacy and support training, practical learning opportunities and joint projects with businesses, helping Lithuania remain secure and resilient in a rapidly changing world.
Tech Breakthrough
The third priority is synergy between research and business that can be transformed into competitive products. Lithuania has strong research niches and expertise, but they do not always develop into export-ready solutions. The TECH Fund seeks to act as a catalyst, bringing together research, business and the public interest so that deep-tech ideas can reach the market and create tangible added value for Lithuania’s economy.
